FACIAL OIL RECIPE-
8ml Rosehip Oil
1ml Macadaemia Nut Oil
1ml Vitamin E Oil
Give your skin a treat and massage this nourishing oil into your clean face. You can use this nightly or just as a weekly treat.
Carrot Face Mask

2 large carrots
4 tablespoons honey
Peel carrots. Cook until soft then mash. Mix with the honey.
Apply gently over the face, avoiding eyes.
Leave on for about 10 minutes then rinse off with cool water.
Leave your dull, winter skin behind!
This mask will add vitality to your skin giving you a fresh glow for the start of Spring.
Cradle Cap

Using a generous amount of Sweet Almond oil or Olive oil, rub into
your baby's scalp and let it soak in for 15 to 20 minutes.
Once the scales have softened, gently comb the scales out using a
fine tooth comb.
If your baby has no hair, use a face washer and gently rub your baby's head to remove the scales.
Now you can shampoo your baby's hair with a Natural Shampoo. Rainbow Essence Baby Shampoo is PEG and Sulphate FREE making it safe and gentle for your baby.
You can repeat this treatment everyday until the cradle cap has gone.
Moisturising Hand Scrub 
1 teaspoon sugar
20ml of any oil in your kitchen cupboard ( vegetable, sweet almond, rosehip)
Mix ingredients together in a small dish
Rub this mixture in a circular motion gently over the back of your hands ( and elbows if you wish)
Rinse hands under warm water.
Pat hands dry.
This hand scrub will remove dead skin cells and soften your hands.
Sweet Orange Massage Oil
25ml Sweet Almond Oil (or any oil in your cupboard)
12 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Massage this oil all over your body for an instant pick me up and to soften skin
Great for dry areas eg. feet and elbows
Moisturising Facial Mask
2 tablespoons Manuka Honey
2 teaspoons milk
Mix together and apply to clean face. Leave on for 10-15 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water.
The many uses of the Healing Power of Honey
BURNS - Apply freely over burns. It cools, removes pain and aids in fast healing without scarring.
BED WETTING - A teaspoon of honey before bed aids water retention.
INSOMNIA - A dessertspoon of honey in a mug of warm milk will aid with sleep.
HYPERACTIVITY - Replace all use of white sugar with honey. White sugar is highly stimulating with no food qualities.
NASAL CONGESTION - Place a dessertspoon of honey in a basin of water and inhale fumes after covering your head with a towel over the basin.
FATIGUE - Dissolve a dessertspoon of honey in warm water. Ancient Greek athletes took honey for stamina before competing and as a reviver after competition.
FACIAL CLEANSER - Mix honey with an equal quantity of oatmeal, and apply as a face pack. Leave on for half an hour, then wash it off. Great as a deep cleanser for acne and unwanted blemishes.
POOR DIGESTION - Mix honey with an equal quantity of apple cider vinegar and dilute to taste with water. This is also wonderful for the joints - and promotes weight loss.
HAIR CONDITIONER - Mix honey with an equal quantity of olive oil, cover head with a warm tower for half an hour then shampoo off. Feeds the hair and scalp.
SORE THROATS - Let a teaspoon of honey melt in the back of the mouth and trickle down the throat.
FOR STRESS - Honey in water is a mood stabilizer. Use approximately 25 percent honey to water.
ANEMIA - Honey enriches the blood by raising corpuscle content. The darker the honey, the more minerals it contains.
FOOD PRESERVATIVE - If you replace the sugar in cake and cookie recipes with honey, they'll stay fresher longer due to honey's natural antibacterial properties. Reduce liquids in the mixture by about one-fifth to allow for the moisture present in the in honey.
BABY- For teething, honey rubbed on a baby's gums is a mild sedative and anaesthetic.
OSTEOPOROSIS - Research has shown that a teaspoon of honey per day aids calcium utilization and prevents osteoporosis - probably not a bad idea for anyone over 50.
LONGEVITY - The most long-lived people in the world are all regular users of honey. And beekeepers suffer less from cancer and arthritis than any other occupational group worldwide. MIGRAINE - Use a dessertspoon of honey dissolved in half a glass of warm water. Sip at the start of a migraine attack, and, if necessary, repeat after another 20 minutes.
CONJUNCTIVITIS - Dissolve honey in an equal quantity of warm water. When cooled, apply as a lotion or eye bath.
COUGH MIXTURE - Combine 170 grams liquid honey, 55 grams glycerin and the juice of two lemons. Mix well. Bottle and cork firmly, and use as required.
Raw honey may become granulated. If this bothers you, place the honey into a pan of hot water (not boiling) and let it stand until it becomes liquid again.
Lemon Sugar Scrub 
Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into a small cup or bowl.
Mix with an equal amount of water.
Begin by adding a tablespoon of white granulated sugar into the lemon water and stir.
Continue adding small amounts of sugar until a paste is formed.
Optional- To make this a moisturising scrub, add a little oil (vegetable oil or sweet almond oil or jojoba oil) by the spoonful.
It will be approxiamately 2 parts lemon sugar to 1 part oil.
Have a shower and gently massage this scrub all over your body to cleanse, refresh, firm and smooth
Bath Salts
Add 2 cups of Epsom Salts and a few drops of an essential oil of your choice to your warm bath water.
Lavender is a great essential oil for bath time because of it's calming and relaxing qualities.
Massage a handful of Epsom Salts over your wet skin, paying special attention to areas of dry skin.

DEEP HAIR CONDITIONER for healthy hair and scalp

Mix 3-4 tsp honey with 20-25ml olive oil (double amount for long hair)
Massage well into wet hair
Cover head with a warm towel or plastic shower cap for 20-30 minutes
Shampoo as normal

Avocado and Honey Face Mask
To hydrate and soften
1 large, ripe avocado 1 tablespoon honey
Peel and slice avocado and mix it with the honey.
Apply the mask to clean face (avoiding eyes).
Pat gently until the mask feels tacky to touch.
Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Rose Moisturiser
40-60 ml vegetable oil of your choice
(eg. sweet almond oil, macadaemia oil, rosehip oil etc) 2-3 teaspoons beeswax 2-4 drops Rose essential oil
Place the vegetable oil and beeswax in a pyrex jug and then place the pyrex jug into a saucepan of water. Slowly heat until the beeswax melts. Stir, remove from heat and when the mixture cools a little add the Rose essential oil. If the cream is too thick, add more vegetable oil. If not thick enough, add more beeswax. As this cream does not contain a preservative, the shelf life will be short, so do not make large amounts at a time.
Citrus Spritz
To freshen and cool your skin on these hot summer days.

1 cup orange peel
1 vitamin C tablet
1 cup boiling water
Cut orange peel into strips,
Add vitamin C tablet to the boiling water then pour over the orange peels.
When cool, strain and pour into a spray bottle.
Store in the refridgerator.
Use straight from the fridge.
